Located in the hills of West Lake, this landscape was designed to strengthen the connection between the home, its architecture, and the surrounding environment while supporting modern family living. Existing plantings were replaced with native and climate-adapted species better suited to the site's conditions, creating a more resilient and cohesive landscape.

New pathways improve circulation throughout the property, while a limestone boulder crossing through a dry creek bed serves as both a functional connection and a defining landscape feature. A central courtyard anchored by a mature oak extends the home's living space outdoors, creating a simple and inviting gathering area.

The project also includes a productive vegetable garden designed to encourage hands-on learning and family engagement. Just one year after installation, the landscape has established quickly, demonstrating the vitality and long-term benefits of thoughtful, site-appropriate design.
